Curbside Garbage Service :: Sherwood

We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with garbage and recycling service. Please take a moment to review the following information about your service.

Starting Service :: Sherwood

To start service with us, please call our office 503-538-1388
We provide you with three carts: a green-lidded cart for garbage, a gray-lidded cart for recycling only, and a brown-lidded cart for yard debris only.

You may choose between three different cart sizes for garbage collection.

A 35 gallon cart, recommended for small households and avid recyclers
A 65-gallon cart, our most popular size, recommended for a family of two or more.
Or a 95-gallon cart, recommended for larger households.

Recycling is collected in 95-gallon carts only.
Yard Debris is collected in 65-gallon carts only.

The monthly fee for garbage service depends on the size of garbage cart you choose. Recycling and yard debris collection are included in this rate.

Collection Info:

We pick up garbage and yard debris weekly. Recycling is picked up every other week. Glass and motor oil are picked up the first service day of the month only. Please see the Sherwood Recycling Calendar for the recycling collection schedule. The Sherwood Curbside Recycling Guide provides preparation guidelines for recycling and yard debris.

Roll carts must be set out the night prior to your service day. Carts must be within 3 feet of the curb or roadside, in open view. Each cart needs to be 4 feet from other carts, mailboxes, cars and other obstructions so our trucks can safely reach them. Carts must be removed from the curb after they are emptied.

All items must fit in your cart for collection. Call the office to pre-arrange pick-up of large or bulky items. A fee may apply.

Please note that household hazardous waste and biohazardous waste cannot be disposed of in your carts. Fireplace and woodstove ashes must be at least 3 days old before being discarded. Customers are liable for damages resulting from improper disposal of these items.

Please keep track of your cart number and keep your cart in your possession.

Payment Options

We bill on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Payment is due on the last day of the month that you are billed.

You may use the return envelope provided with your bill to mail a check or money order to Newberg Garbage Service, PO Box 1000, Newberg, OR 97132

You may drop a payment off at our office located at 2904 S Wynooski Rd, Newberg OR 97132. The NGS office accepts cash, check, money order, and all major Credit Cards.

You may pay your bill online using our secure Pay Pal account

We accept credit card payments over the phone during office hours.

There is an after hours payment slot in the office door if you arrive after the office is closed. Payments left after hours will be posted the next business day.

You may request an automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Please contact us to set up this payment option.

Stopping Service

You must notify our office if you want to change or stop service. Charges will continue in your account name until we are notified.

If you are moving within our service district, you are responsible for relocating your carts.
